Pokemon Yellow

Does anyone remember just before the year 2000 they had pokemon yellow. I remember that when I was around 8 or so I played it. Did anybody else play this game when they where little?:cool:

Oh yea. Pickachu used to follow your guy around and when you turned around and hit A it would re-act.

I played it when I was younger,and sometimes do now.:O
I think it was alot more fun then Red and Blue,after you get past the first Gym Leader.They're pretty much the ame game except Yellow has more color in the game.You get to face the main charectors of "Team Rocket".Plus your albe to get Pikachu and all of the other started Pokemon.

I loved that game, and I still have it now. Although I don't play it anymore, it is one of my favorite Pokemon games.

i loved tht game so much i liked having a little pikachu following you around but too bad you couldnt change which one did follow you and also to bad we cant do that today on D/P ruby emerald sapphire LG FR etc

I have a copy of that game and I hated it. Pikachu was the most annoying addition to that game ever. I stuffed him into one of the PC Boxes and traded with a friend to get a REAL Pikachu that didn't follow me around and make noises (and refuse to evolve).

I still have the game. Those are awesome. I beat the game and I like the Missingno trick to get unlimited rare candies. But anyway, my favortie Pokemon in that game is Garydos. I would always evolve Karfish or whatever to get him,

The MissingNo Trick was removed from Pokemon Yellow.

It works in Blue and Red, the Old Man/Surf on Cinnabar trick that everyone knows. The programming for that strip of island was fixed in Yellow, but there were other ways to get MissingNo in Yellow and since they made the smart move to DELETE MissingNo, the anti-crash buffer, the glitches are more likely to freeze the game or cause other effects.

Would the other effects be like catching one and it delteing your whole PC box? I know my friend caught one and that happened to him.

What were the other ways to get it in yellow? I am confused. They deleted it yet there were other ways to get it?

You can trade it into Yellow (to which it becomes "3TRAINERPOKE||||") and you can also do The Mew Glitch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYzFeE6MyX4) to force specific encounters without a GameShark, which was discovered long after R/B/Y was released.

I caught one of those on level 200 one time.A weird glitch but a powerful one.
