How do I get the glossy-ish pen-tooling that looks smooth and shining-ish?

Do I just make a curved path path, stroke it. Make a new layer re-stroke the path with white move it to the edge and lower the opacity?

I like the lines they really add to it.

But the bubble c4ds don't match they just look like low opacity on normal.
The lighting is pretty epic thougj.

I'm not sure about the layer bar question. You can go to Dialogues-layers to see your layers if you need to.
About the signature, it's lacking depth and flow. You can create depth in a tag by blurring the background, and sharpening the focal/foreground. The render also pops out too much, and the type of tag you're working (looks like a C4D/smudge), blending is essential.
I'll rate it 7/10.

Oh My God, you all have to look at this man's PB. Our very own legend Dub Zero, probably one of the best (if not THE best) Graphic Designer on this entire forum. Looking at all of his tags, I was on the border of shedding a tear because his tags are so beautiful. This dude was known for smudging and the grunge feel on this forum, he took all of his style and signatures to an entire new level. He took just a regular smudge job and completely changed it into something incredible. i dunno, I thought I would just post this because I looked at some old posts and found his account, then looked at his PB. We need this guy to be back into GFX. I miss him too much right now. :/

Very nice FB, maybe you could try making the text smaller and simpler? That might work to fix your text troubles? Just try loads of different texts and see what suits each tag.

The first one is ok looks a little blurry maybe sharpen it up a little, Effects seem basic, displacement filter. Colors are a bit dull aswell. Clean up your focal a bit, seems like effects are overlapping it.

I love the second one, maybe just add some more dynamic shapes, make some flow near the gramaphone, so your secondary focal stands out more. Seems like there is two focals, the gramaphone and the lines. So try to make the gramaphone stand out more by making some fancy, flowy shapes. I really like the concept overall though.

Sadly, I need 15 posts to post my images so you'll have to wait awhile to see my latest stuff. I wish I could get my old account back, and get right to it but that isn't possible at the moment...

Focal is covered up to much IMO. The box with the copy part also ruins it a bit, other than that nice. :)
