Just being curios on how many Gb's your ps3 has, I Really don't know what Gb's are though

I don't have one, but GB is giga-bytes, which is the memory

Yes it means that you have more memory, like i have a 30gb iPod which holds 7,500 songs and my brother has a 60gb and it hold 15,000 songs
