Heal Bell?

I was fighting a trainer wih a Skitty and she used heal bell.
It did nothing so What does i do??
By he name I though it would heal her but i didn.

Yeah, I got it.
Its like I have that game for almost 5 years and never saw that move.
Also, the skitty that used it was stupid.
All other pokemons in their pary were fainted.
