I love seeing the retro games coming to Wii and Xbox you know. I seen a retro videogame magazine at Barnes and Nobles.
You think the retro games are making a comeback?
The gameplay is second to none you know like Battletoads, paperboy, excitebike, super punchout, ninja turtle games.

Well, they do come back as newer versions of the game. But they will never be as cool as the origional game. So technically I would say no.

I'm selling my new systems. I don't think the new games are as fun, people lack creativity nowadays. I can't wait to get my Atari 2600, I'm making it hand-held!

i agree with your statement. I use to love NFL Blitz and NHL Hitz. Now it might be about how much gore is in the game. I support wii for trying to make fun, somewhat family games.

They won't make a comeback into anything mainstream but there is still (and will be) a market for them. Popular systems like the NES and Genesis are in higher demand than "failures" such as anything by Tiger Electronics and the Virtual Boy.

If you view the Nintendo side of things, you see that some of the classic games have made their way back to the GBA. These are never as good as the original.

Namco's Namco Museum collections offer a nice trip back, and they sometimes feature cool redesigned versions of older games (Pac-Man Arrangement, Galaga Arrangement, and Dig-Dug Arrangement.) Pac-Man and Galaga Arrangements are the two best redesigned ones. If you've ever tried Pac-Mania, it's also cool. You ought to check out Namco Museum and Pac-Man Collection for GBA.
