Zapster is about 12 year old Kevin Barkley receiving the powers of lightning. Prologue
Twelve Years Ago,
Professor Barkley, Leading Scientist, released his newest invention. It was the TransWorld machine. It was believed to be a machine that created a new dimension for use as a second Earth. Professor Barkley would be the first to test it. Everything went wrong when the machine had a meltdown with the Professor in it. Professor Barkley died that day, missing the birth of his grandson, Kevin Martin Barkley. The machine was then shut down and put away in the basement of the Professor and his wife's house. For twelve years, it sat there. Waiting to be unleashed once again. And the day Kevin went to visit his grandmother, the TransWorld machine was released once again...
Chapter One
Kevin
Rang the doorbell, waiting for someone to open the door. In a few moments, the door opened and a pale faced woman with a smile on was at the front door.
"Why, hello Kevin!" said his grandmother, smiling down at him.
"Hi, grandma" said Kevin, holding a box of junk. Behind him stood his mother, father, and little sister, Andrea.
"Come on in everyone!" said Kevin's grandmother. Everybody walked in and stood in the living room. Kevin's grandmother shut the door and then took a look at the box in Kevin's hands.
"Why, whats in there?" asked Kevin's grandmother.
"Oh, just some junk that used to be dad's... Say Kevin, why dont you take that into the basement" replied Kevin's father.
"Sure, Dad" said Kevin, walking down the steps.
It was dark and eerie down in the basement. Kevin looked around for a light switch but couldnt find one. He finally found a lightbulb on the ceiling and turned it on. It was still pretty dark but good enough to see. Kevin set the box down and then looked around. There were tons of inventions down there. Blueprints, desks, small machines, big machines, medium machines. Anything you could imagine.
Then, he noticed the biggest machine of them all. It was covered by a giant sheet. Kevin carefully walked over to it and pulled the sheet off. He was amazed. It was long and tall. Many buttons and mechanisms on it. There was a door in the middle that could fit one person. He then noticed on the top, in bright yellow words, it said 'TransWorld'. Kevin walked closer to it and took a step inside the door. There was a chair attached to the wall and buttons all around. He looked very closely and saw a small lever that looked like it had never been seen, nor touched.
Kevin thought for a moment and looked at the lever. He then leaned forward and slowly pulled it down. Suddenly, the machine turned on and made a rattling noise. The whole thing began to shake. Kevin tried opening the door but it was jammed. Then, bolts of electricity hit Kevin's hands. He fell to the back of the wall and was shocked again. A giant bolt of lighting entered the machine and shocked Kevin.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" screamed Kevin.
Moments later, the machine shut off and Kevin fell out. Little shocks were still bolting around him as he layed there, fainted. Kevin Barkley's life was about to change. It was the beginning of a hero...
