Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3: The Marketing Campaigns

I want to talk about some marketing campagins and overall how they can affect a movie's gross.

The Power of Marketing: Obviously, more marketing, more people!

Spidey 3 Marketing: I have NO IDEA why the creators of Spidey 3 are doing all these things to promote the movie. They knew from the start it would be huge, because we've been waiting 4 freaking years for it, so why promote it when its already huge? Do they enjoy to toy with us?

Pirates 3 Marketing: These guys have the right idea. Have one trailer that everyone sees, build up the suspense, and just wait. Again, everyone's going to see it eventually, why waste budget on promoting it?

Well, I think in Spideys' case they need as much people as they can to see the movie ,they went
WAY over their budget. So they're just trying to make up with it. Plus who wouldn't want to promote the movie? It's huge! More people seeing it, more profit.
Pirates 3.....hmm. I honestly have no clue about this but then again I'm not watching it. Couldn't stand the second one. It was pretty good. Except how they ended it. And I honestly
don't really care about the characters.

Yeah, they splurg'd on Graphics (I think it turned out great with the Sand-dude, but as for others, its mediocre). I don't know if I like the turnout of it either, I just don't see a need for everyone to be stretching all these movies so far (Shrek 3, POTC3, Spidey3, Xmen:Last Stand, and so on so forth -.-) I find it kinda annoying.

And also, I just don't see a need to spend 350mill on a movie 0.0 Thats alotta sick kids.

I agree with you partly, Yeah, Spider-Man 3 went way over budget and that's why there promoting it so much. Pirates Of The Caribbean 3... I think they left the second just hanging so I'm going to see it...

Yes, I'm pretty sure this will be the last movie. I read in a magazine that this was the last movie. I guess because the girl Kiera said that she wanted to do something else besides being an actress.

In the US, it hasn't come out yet. We're just talking about its marketing campaign, which has been really weak.
