View Full Version : How to be a mature and respected Club Penguin forumer

This thread is world renowned after appearing on the old forums. I've decided to post it here again so you can all reap it's rewards. Read this and you have the chance to become a very highly respected forumer

1) READ THE GOD DAMM STICKIES!!! The CLub EPnguin forum will have stickies to show you what to do and what not to do. I strongly urge you to read them before you post

( links will follow, once the forums are updated, and once i reach 15 posts)

2) USE CORRECT SPELLING AND GRAMMAR This is another important step towards achieving prominence in other forums. For example, instead of posting like this, as many of you do
'ZOMG!!! HACKER!!! REPROPET + IGNOR! '
'my klub isso gr8,plz join plz plz plz'

Post like this instead

'Please report and ignore the hacker'
'I think that you will find my club a very enjoyable club to be part of, please consider joining it' (NOTE: The previous posts are only examples of good grammar, you should never create a thread focused on them)

All of you should be at least 13 and by that age, you should have a considerable knowledge of how to spell properly. Please use that knowledge in your posts

3) KNOW WHERE YOU ARE POSTING The miniclip forums are not a CP only forum, so don't treat the other subforums like Club Penguin. Never post
'This is so off topic for CP' in general chat, otherwise you will get a verbal bashing. Also, don't post CP related threads in other forums

4) LOOK FOR SIMILAR THREADS BEFORE YOU POST This one is not just for the entire forums, it is mainly for CP. For example, a few days ago, the first page was chock full of threads related to Rockhopper. One thread should be enough. Find the thread that was made the earliest, or the most popular thread of that category, and post in there. Also DON'T POST WHEN THE QUESTION IS SOLVED (ADDED BY STEVETPARKIN) When someone asks a question in Club Penguin, General Chat or anywhere else and it's been solved, don't bother posting in it, since the only thing you are doing is telling someone what to do when they have found out already. Also you are adding more posts to your cumulative post count, and therefore spamming. We could understand if the posts were 30 seconds - 1 min from each other. Not when it's 5-10 mins after the first good answer

5) DON'T ASK STUPID QUESTIONS This point relates to point 3. Don't ask questions like
'Is this about CP or real life?' as again asking questions like this will anger other users. Here's a simple thing to remember

If it's in General Chat it's about real life
If it's in CP it's about CP

6) DON'T BEHAVE LIKE YOU'RE UNDERAGED Making childish threats will not get you anywhere on Miniclip, so make sure that you post quality and try not to get involved in any flame wars.

7) DON'T BE A HYPOCRITE(ADDED BY GAMERBOY) It is not a good idea to tell people to report it and ignore it as it is spam. Not only can most people tell that it is spam and do not need any guidelines, you are creating more work for the mods. being a hypocrit, spamming and also encouraging others to also spam.

8 ) IF YOU ARE BANNED OR PERMA BANNED, STAY AWAY! If you have recieved a ban on the forums, it is because you have severely disobeyed the rules, and have not followed this guide. The members and mods alike do not want you returning. Know your place, stay away until your ban expires, or in the case of a perma ban, don't come back at all. If you really wanted to reform your ways, you should have done it before you got those 5 infractions, or thought about what you were posting. I am posting this because there have been a fair number of cases regarding this (:cough: Kiddypool returning as Da Kid :cough: )

And Finally:

9) LOOK UP TO PENGUINS LIKE JOEYPENG, PENGOPOP AND BIGGALO (from the old forums, will hopefully join soon): These three are probably the most mature CP forumers out there, and they have gained a lot of respect from people in GC. Joeypeng has already made sure to do everything in my guide, and as a result he has made friends with many other forumers, including Tea Roll, argubly the most judgemental of them all

Pengopop is probably the most mature user here. She realises that Club Penguin isn't life, she doesn't see the point of post counts, old items or popularity, she just wants to keep in line with the game's official slogan and 'Waddle around and meet new friends'

Biggalo deserved his accolade of Miniclip Master. When he is online, he makes a hell of a difference to this place, which as I have already mentioned, is doomed

That's your lot, so please try and read this and maybe you will become as respected as Joey, Pengo, and a few others such as Little Milky, Adz and Jeffman. I welcome improvements to my guide, so post here if you have any

Will do. That's the only problem, however, most forumers know who the people listed are, but I'll sort it out anyway

I'll bet you someone's gonna barge in and say, "OMG DONT SAY DAM!!!!"
Can't be stereotyped here, though. Unless Tea Roll would just HAPPEN to join.

Joey's special motto, don't contradict yourself.

Yeah it's to prevent posts like yours from merely saying "i agree" to raise your count.

Great guide Biggie. It'll be good if most people read this, it'll probably help a lot of new penguins, not old ones so much though... They already know. :)

Please dont bump old threads. This thread is almost 3 months ago. And the thread starter is perma-banned, he/she cant answer your posts. A friendly reminder from:
