Just got back from the movie Disturbia, and I must say I really liked it. It had all the elements of a good movie, the pace was perfectly timed, the script sounded real, and the actors were perfectly cast and did a great job.
There were a few problems, though.
As mentioned in the title, Disturbia was a rare breed of film. It was too gory to be a thriller, but it was too mild to be a horror movie. The cop that was "the teacher's cousin" was biased and unprofessional, the teacher ridiculed his students (even though they were a little smart-talking), the neighbor was a tease, and the court lady that worked the bracelet was a little too uptight to be real.
But other than those things and the fact that the movie took a while to pick up, Disturbia was an amazing film. Shia LaBouf has always been a good actor to me, and he has a bright future ahead of him, full of surfing penguins (he's Cody in Surf's Up) and robots (he's a main character in Transformers).
By the way, I was one of the porn-watching kids!:D Well, not really...
