This is the sixth episode of Alaskan Hospital. Enjoy.
FIGHT AS ONE:
"Okay, I need to do this," Ken, a basketball player told himself. He was dripping with sweat. As he dribbled the ball twice, he kept thinking, you can do this. Ken grabbed the ball and shot the foul shot. It missed. He was beginning to feel unconcious. Black spots appeared everywhere. He had one more shot. He had to make this, or the Juneau Jaguars wouldn't make it to the playoffs. He bounced the ball once, then shot. The basketball barely had left his hands when Ken collapsed. Many people crowded around him. He couldn't see them...
Don turned around. "WHAT?" Sarah was also looking puzzeled. "Y-you aren't my father. My daddy died in 1998 in a f-fire." The Agent said, "Get away from her, you filthy little ragdoll!" Don stood still. "Why should I? You never seemed to love her." Sarah was backing away from the Agent now. Then she and Don broke into a run, with the Agent cursing at them from behind. "I'll be back, you little ****ing ****s!" When they had finally reached the end of the hall, Don noticed Sarah was crying. "What happened?" he asked. She told him that she had never really known her father, and this man was a surprise. "He might even want me dead." she said.
They all gathered in Jim's office. "So, heard about the boy with the 'killer' foul shot?" Nobody laughed. They didn't even get the joke. "Okay, bad joke, but anyway, we need to get on this case. Daniel-" he said to a boy watching TV show on his portable TV "- The OC can wait, we need to help this boy." They walked downstairs into Ken's hospital room. "Oh my god, he's seizing!" yelled a blonde girl. Don grabbed a breathing mask and pressed it to Ken's face. After three minutes, he was back to normal. "Okay, add 'seizures' to the list of symtoms." Don said calmly. He placed back the medical equipment and picked up a notebook. He scribbled, {SEIZURES, HEARTBURN, FAINTING}. Sarah looked at him with amazement.
"So, are you going anywhere this weekend?" asked Sam to Sarah. Sarah shrugged. Don mouthed to her, "Nowhere with that geek" and she laughed. Sam looked upset and stood up from the table. Suddenly Don's cell phone rang, playing "Hips Don't Lie". Sarah raised her eyebrows. "You like that song?" Don looked embarresed. "Um, my...dog bought it. Er, no wait, I mean...never mind." He opened the phone. A voice on the other end said, "Leave her alone." Don hung up. "It was your loser of a dad. He told me to leave you alone." Sarah looked down at her soup. Then their pagers beeped and they had to leave. "Wonder what Ken's up to now..." wondered Don before they left.
Ken was screaming. "GET THE **** OFF OF ME!!!! I DESERVE TO BE LEFT ALONE!!! IT IS MY RIGHT!!!!" Three nurses were trying to hold him down. Jim picked up one of the pills they were trying to force into Ken's mouth and did a little lay-up shot. The pill landed in Ken's mouth, although he tried to choke it up. "Stop, it! Stand still!" Don yelled. Ken wriggled back and forth, screaming. He chucked a pillow at Jim. Later, Don was talking to Sarah. "That kid attacked me with a freaking pillow!" She smiled, "Typical angry basketball player. Where's the boy's parents?" Don didn't know. This seemed very strange, parents of a sick child not appearing at the hospital.
Sarah was driving home that night. She stopped at a deli for a snack. Who did she see there? Yes, the Agent. He moved over to her table. "You need to stay away from that Don Huggletye kid. He could get you into trouble." Sarah refused. "He's a good guy, really." She picked up her sandwich and ran quickly out of the deli. "Hey-a! You's forgetting to leave a tip!" yelled the man who ran the deli. Sarah started to walk back, but she couldn't see the deli. Perhaps it was too dark out. But she saw, all too weel, the face that pulled out somethng shiny, and the noise of a bullet. The Agent had attacked Sarah. He kicked her body down the hill and left it there to rot.
Don woke up. Something felt weird, like somebody was watching him. He pulled closed the drapes. Turning around slowly, Don saw the Agent standing in front of him. "Now, Don, we can play this game two ways. One, you pack your bags and catch a Greyhound out of town, or two, you die."
