It's a hack that they used. I wouldn't recommend hacking in general because not only does it get you banned, but it's unfair to users who actually want to play the game fairly.

The only reason people hack is to be popular or cool (or possibly both). And like you said, there is really no point in hacking, epecially on an online children's game. Anyhow, I'm glad that you do not hack. :P
